Active@ File Recovery

Just because a file has been deleted, it doesn’t mean it is gone forever. The operating system may tell you that a specific file is gone, but the simple truth of the matter is that it is still there on the hard drive. It will continue to be there until it is overwritten. Now if you need to bring that file back to life, you can do what I always do – turn to software and see if there is an application out there that can lend a helping hand.

Luckily enough, there is a whole class of software applications out there that can prove to be helpful in this situation – data recovery tools. Out of all the data recovery tools available out there, I would like to put the spotlight on just one. I would like to focus on the LSoft Technologies-developed application Active@ File Recovery.

This simple Windows program allows you to recover accidentally deleted files, files lost due to crashes, viruses, and so on. Besides that, it can recover data from formatted partitions. Installing the application is one simple task, as it only requires a few clicks for this. After installing and running the program, the user will be presented with a simple graphical interface.

At this point, the user will just need to select the desired partition where the deleted data is located. The program features two scanning modes, a quick mode and a super scanning mode. The latter will take longer time to complete but will be able to find more deleted files and folders. After the scanning process is over, the user can select the ones that he wants to recover.
